Event : IT Conclave 2024

IT Conclave 2024 kicked off on 23rd February 2024, with a lineup of distinguished speakers and insightful sessions. The inauguration was graced by Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Pratik Kalathia, Founder & CEO of Roxiler Systems Pvt. Ltd., along with Guest of Honour Mr. Prashant Kalgaonkar, Independent Consultant at Ascent Intellimation Pvt Ltd, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Chairperson and Director of IICMR MCA, and Ms. Renu Mathew, HOD MCA.
Dr. Deepali Sawai set the tone with an address focusing on the theme of the IT Conclave. She delved into the power of programming our subconscious mind positively and fostering good practices for holistic development.
Mr. Prashant Kalgaonkar took the stage for the inaugural address and the first session, shedding light on ‘Modern Technologies in Industry 4.0.’ He elucidated the essence of Industry 4.0, its revolutionary impact, and how technology facilitates personalized products, smart services, IIOT, and architectural layers.
The day also celebrated academic and extracurricular achievements. Star of the Month-Quizzomania awards were bestowed upon four outstanding students, followed by recognition of academic achievers from SPPU examinations. Participants of the Smart India Hackathon and winners of Technocase 2024 were applauded and honored.
Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Pratik Kalathiya shared his insights on ‘The Road Ahead: Unveiling Expectations from Freshers’ emphasizing qualities like ownership, solution-driven thinking, intrinsic motivation, and a passion for technology that organizations seek in potential teammates.
Post-lunch, Mr. Yashwant Bordekar, Security Architect at JPMorgan & Chase, conducted a session titled ‘Hack-Proofing Your World: A Cybersecurity Deep Dive’. He highlighted the significance of cybersecurity and presented real-life case scenarios illustrating its importance in project management.
The day -1 concluded with a session by Mr. Mohanbabu Balchandran, Head of IT and Vice President at Mr. Cooper, on ‘Infinite Possibilities: The World of Generative Artificial Intelligence’. He elucidated the advantages of AI across industries, particularly emphasizing its role in cybersecurity.
The second day started with opening remarks by Ms. Harshada Talnikar. The session on ‘Design Thinking for Sustainable Innovation’ was delivered by Ms. Soniya Kapale Fellow at IIM, Bangalore Panel of Expert buddy at Karnataka Government’s Entrepreneurship program.
The session on ‘Panel Discussion – From Novice to Ninja: Unleashing the Potential of IT Career Path’ was hosted by Ms. Preetha Praseed and Mr. Sanjay Mate. The 5 Panel members were Mr. Akash Daryanani (BI/ ML Team lead, RIA Advisory) , Mr. Girish Agrawal, (Principal Consultant, Genpact) Ms. Soniya Kapale (Fellow at IIM, Bangalore Panel of Expert buddy at Karnataka Government’s Entrepreneurship program), Mr. Vittal Jakore (Senior Windchill Developer, Freelancer) and Mr. Piyush Panjwani (Unity Developer, Wizphys AI Pvt. Ltd.)
58 students from MCA-II have completed their Microsoft Certified Fundamentals. As a token of
appreciation for them, the college has reimbursed the amount of their fees. The panel discussion session was a wonderful session in which students got inputs from the panelists on how to prepare themselves for placement and to be industry-ready. Students actively participated in this discussion by asking placement, jobs, and industry-related questions.

Event : IT Conclave 2023

IT Conclave 2023 was conducted on 17th and 18th June 2023. Dr. Deepali Sawai, in her address elaborated on the objectives of ITConclave. The inaugural address ‘Preparing for the journey from Campus to Corporate’ was delivered by Guest of Honor Mr. Niranjan Kale, Campus Recruiter, Veritas Technology . Chief Guest Mr. Niraj Patkar, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Nonstop IO Technologies spoke about Trends in IT Industry. Ms. Usha Madyar, Program Manager Automotive, TATA ELXSI briefed on about ‘Project Management Best Practices’. Mr. Rajkumar K. delivered the session on ‘Block chain’.
On second day a session on ‘Introduction to DevOps’ was delivered by Mr. Saurabh Kulkarni. Mr. Sagar Shirodkar briefed on ‘Data Science & Analytics and its emerging trends’.
Panel Discussion was conducted on the topic ‘Demystifying Career Development’. A two days student development initiative, IT CONCLAVE 2022 was conducted on 12th and 13th February 2022. The program was inaugurated by the Chief guest Cdr. Pratap Pawar, Director HR & IT at GS lab, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director-MCA, IICMR and Ms. Renu Mathew, HoD MCA. Dr. Deepali Sawai highlighted on latest technology trends such as AI, ML and IoT. Chief guest Cdr. Pratap Pawar briefed about what IT industry is looking for and expecting from freshers. The session on Project Development practice with the Business Case was conducted by Mr. Utkarsh Kulkarni, Business Analyst, Benchmark IT Solutions. Online Session on-Data Science Orientation was delivered by Mr. Sharath Babu T, Director, Product Development, Oracle India Pvt. Ltd. Second day first session was delivered by Mr. Ayyan Peerjade, Sr. Software Engineer, Deserve Cards, on Mobile Project: D to D. Mr. Abhijeet Deogirikar, Founder & CEO, CopperCloud IOTech Pvt. Ltd conducted a session on Internet of Things(IoT): Technology Creators, Consumers & Catalysts. After lunch, the day proceed with panel discussion on Face & Ace the Career Race in the Business Simplification Era. The panelists were Mr.Kartik Nallepalli, Business & Integration Architect Specialist, Accenture, Australia, Ms.Seema Dalvi Technical Writer,TCS, Mr.Vinod Hire, Solution Architect, Amdocs India, Pune, Mr.Sujit Mahadik. Sr.Quality Analyst, Upside Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Mr.Sagar Mandlik, Tech Analyst, Fiserv India. Panelists guided students regarding different career opportunities and the skills to be acquired for getting job in IT industry. The panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Arati Mhaisekar and Mr. Sanjay Mathapati. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Renu Mathew, HoD -MCA.

IICMR -MCA Department organized a two days student development initiative, IT Conclave 2020-2021 on 17th and 18th October 2020 .IT Conclave 2020 was inaugurated by Mr. Kshamesh P Atnoorkar, Application Development Specialist at Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd, Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director-MCA, IICMR and Ms. Renu Mathew, HoD MCA. Dr. Deepali Sawai in her address briefed about IT Conclave and highlighted on latest technology trends such as AI, ML, IOT, RPA, AR & VR. The Inaugural address and the first Session, Docker for Beginners was delivered by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kshamesh P Atnoorkar, and Application Development Specialist at Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd. He spoke about Docker, its need and benefits through a demonstration. How to deploy application with Docker Container was the takeaway. The Second Session, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) was delivered by Mr. Shrirang Kamble, Senior Consultant, Infosys Ltd. The session highlighted the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacture, to service and disposal. The first post lunch Session, Exploring ETL Testing was delivered by Ms.Sonali Dangare Assistant Manager-QA, Synechron Technologies Pvt Ltd . She focused on ETL Architecture, ETL Process testing, Data Extraction process architecture and Tools used for ETL. The second session, post lunch was on Resilience (Chaos!) Engineering delivered by Mr. Manish Raj, Technical Consultant @IBM, UK. He highlighted on what is Resilience, when to test Resilience and Chaos Engineering-Chaos Monkey & Simian Army.On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Ms. Pooja Kalange. The first Session, Journey of Cloud Computing was delivered by Mr. Nitin Jenekar-Technical Lead at Xoriant Solutions. He spoke about growth of Cloud in the last two decades, Micro services & Containerization, Serverless computing. The Second Session, Overview of SAP Technologies-Best Option to accelerate your Career differently was delivered by Mr. Ashutosh Todkar -SAP Sales Cloud Solution Expert, SAP India Pvt Ltd. The session highlighted on SAP offerings, SAP Eco-System and SAP Technologies. Post lunch a Panel Discussion was conducted on ‘Mapping of Technologies and Skill Sets to start a Career Post Pandemic’. The panelists were Mr. Ashish Sharma, Sr. Analyst Programmer, Barclays, Mr. Navnath Kale, Technical Officer, Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry Of Defence, Mr. Ajinkya Kasar, Senior Software Engineer, Capita , Mr. Atul Rajguru, Senior Automation Engineer, Plex Systems and Mr. Rahul Kumar ,Senior Software Engineer, Scientific Games Corporation. Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director, IICMR, in her welcome address talked about the objectives of the IT Conclave program. She addressed the students about various career path available after MCA, how certifications are important for future career. She also mentioned the Track based syllabus pattern of MCA under SPPU to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.Dr. Ranjit D. Patil, Vice-Principal and HOD of Computer Science Department. Dr.D Y Patil College Of Science, Commerce,Arts was the Guest of Honor for the event .He motivated the students with his insight topics. He conducted a wonderful session on “Career avenues for MCA graduates. Mr. Makaranda Gadre, CTO Hexanica PVT.LTD Chief Guest for the event , Guided the students on the topic of Data Science :Business Use Cases. He explained vague definition and interpretation of data along with data operations like acquisition, interference and prediction. After Lunch there was a session on- Careers in Digital Marketing which was conducted by Mr.Sumit Zarkar, Digital Marketing Head, Aarialife Technologies Pvt Ltd . Mr. Sumit guided students on basics of digital marketing , how to get in and various opportunities in digital marketing as a career. Mr.Atul Bengeri, Director Acumen `Today Pvt Ltd Spoke on- Big Data just got Bigger .He explained students role of mathematics and statistics , computer science and business domain knowledge in data science. He also explained students that how advanced analytics, machine learning and data analytics plays important role in data science. At the end of the day Mr.Prabhakar G, Senior Tech Lead Persistent Systems Pvt Ltd Spoke on –Introduction to Chatbot , working of chatboat. He has given excellent demo on chatboat and its applications The program was compered by Ms. Pooja Kalange and MCA students. On Second day Opening Remarks was given by Ms. Renu Mathew.Ms.Ashwini Parshwanath,Director in CTO, from Credit- Suisse guided students on Information Management Systems . she includes cloud infrastructure, virtualization concepts in her speech, she also encouraged students for the international certification in cloud computing domain by giving information about it. Third session of the day was conducted by Mr.Amol Dhanpalwar,Technology Architect,Sears Holding India Ltd will Spoke on ‘-Introduction to Java Spring Boot Micro services ‘He explained introduction to micro service, architecture , tools required for micro service eco system. He conducted case study demonstration on granular levels micro systems. Further session for the day was by Mr.Sumit Morey, Mobile (IOS) Development, from Nuance India Pvt Ltd spoke on Session on –Flutter and IOS . he covered topics like types of apps, cross platform applications , system and software support for iOS and android. He also gave basic idea of DART language. After lunch, the day proceed with panel discussion on ‘-‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’ by Mr.Sumit Morey (Nuance India Pvt Ltd),Amol Dhanpalwar(Sears Holding India Ltd.),Sankar Solanke(Xoriant Solutions Pvt Ltd),Girish Agarwal (Altius Data Solution ),Kirti Mahamuni(Symantec Software India Pvt Ltd). The Panel Discussion was moderated by Dr. Priya Deshapandhe and Ms.Kiran Shinde. The second day sessions were compered by Ms.Pooja Kalange. All panelist guided students regarding basic prerequisites for IT career , mastering current trends, key skills required for getting job in IT industry. Students had asked many questions and got satisfied by the answers from the experts. Ms. Megha Desai proposed vote of thanks for the program IT conclave 2019-20.

On the first Day the session was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Kolharkar , Founder & Evangelist Opine Group, Member of BOS Savitribai Phule Pune university. In his inaugural speech on “Data Science for World Data Problems “, he discussed the various data driven decision strategies. He also spoke about customer retention techniques, BI approach and business challenges. The Guest of Honor , Dr. Amol Goje Chairman Board of Studies Savitribai Phule pune University , President of Society for Data Science, explained Basics of Blockchain. He also shared information on crypto currency with demonstration. In post lunch sessions, Mr. Mukand Nadgowda, Deputy Director (Projects ) at YASHADA Pune, shared information on e-Governance systems and its challenges. Later Mr. Nikhil Gokhale, Cybermate, delivered session on Cyber Security and Risk at internet. He also gave demonstration on how security breaches happen. It was an eye opening session for the students.

The second day of IT Conclave 2019 commenced with key concepts in Information Technology Service management by Mr. Hemant Arora , Symanctec . He also spoke about 3 essentials of ITSM and how automation transferring to disruption. Mr. Parag Shindekar, Project Manager Capgemini Technology Service India Ltd, addressed the students on Network and System security and discussed various components of computer network and end point security.
The second day concluded with a fruitful panel discussion on ‘Hot skills to be honed to kick start an IT career‘ by Mr. Mandar Kulkarni –(Netcracker Technology Solution), Mr. Narendra Nalamwar (CompuCom Services Pvt. Ltd. Pune) , Mr. Belal khan (Globant India) , Mr. Akhil Krishnakumar (Crest), and Mr. Kailash Shimpi (Centelon). Panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Priya Dheshpande and Mr.Sanjay Mathapati. The program was compered by Ms. Pooja Kalange and MCA students.

She addressed the students about various career paths available after MCA, how certifications are important for future career.The program was inaugurated by Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group, Director, IICMR-MCA Dr.Deepali Sawai was present for the event.

Mr. Ajay Ghuge , Barclays – He spoke about various salesforce platforms and various certifications which are required career building.
Ms. Nikita sharma ,KPIT , shared her experience about her work as a DBA. She talked about current database trends.
Amatjit singh , PTC talked about augmented reality , artificial intelligence.
Mr. Sagar Shirodkar of Nuance Communications, told about latest trends in BI, Data Warehousing as well as what are the pre requisite for starting career in the same.
Mr. Ayyan Peerjade of Coditas Technologies Pvt. Ltd ., explained about mobile platforms and development of hybrid and native applications. He also shared his experience being a freelancer.
Mr. Chatur Shriganesh , Barclays, cleared the doubt of student regarding testing myths. He also shared his views regarding test driven development. He further talked about team behaviour, team work, passion about work which helps improvement in skills.
The day concluded with a fruitful panel discussion on -‘Prerequisites to kick off an IT Career’ under the moderation of Mr. Sanjay Mathapati and Ms. Kiran Shinde. Panelists shared their views which are as follows:
Mr. Nivelle Postwala, Associate Vice President, Harbinger Group shared do’s and don’t about resume writing. He explained importance of resume for getting job in industry. He also talked about facts of resume writing with examples.

Guest of Honor Mr. Rajas Gokhale talked about Big data from various fields . In Key note address Mr. Kumar Gaurav guided students on Career Opportunities in the field of Mobility.
